Data Garden formed in 2008 when co-founders Jamie Sidey and Jeff Goldberg recognized that budding natural and organic brands were often operating solely on a passion for their product and sales entrepreneurship. They quickly realized that these companies didn’t have the internal infrastructure, capital, or know-how to effectively use data to drive decision-making in their business.
With the lack of actionable data, decisions around trade spend management, portfolio optimization, and promotional spending were often ad-hoc when they should have been information driven. Jamie & Jeff realized that brands like these could grow sales and operate much more efficiently if they had data reporting that easily provided actionable insights into their business.
Data Garden formed to serve the natural and organic product and to empower these passionate, heath conscious brands through data. Driven by the same underlying passion, it is Data Garden’s focus to help these brands and products grow in the market to bring about a better world.
